WOCA Driftwood Lye White is a specialist pre-treatment developed for untreated interior wood floors and surfaces, primarily oak and other suitable hardwoods, to create a light, washed driftwood-style appearance.
The lye reacts with the wood’s natural tannins to reduce yellowing and even out colour variation, producing a pale, softened tone. It is used as a colouring and stabilising pre-treatment and must be finished with a suitable WOCA oil or soap to protect the surface.
WOCA Driftwood Lye White should be applied to freshly sanded, untreated wood only and is intended for interior use as part of a complete WOCA finishing system. Not suitable for pre-finished, lacquered, or oiled surfaces.
