WOCA Driftwood Lye Grey is a specialist pre-treatment developed for untreated interior wood floors and surfaces, primarily oak and other suitable hardwoods, to create a cool, weathered grey appearance.
The lye reacts with the natural tannins in the wood, softening contrasts and reducing yellowing while introducing a muted grey tone. It is used as a colouring and stabilising pre-treatment and must be followed by a compatible finishing product such as WOCA oil or soap to protect the surface.
WOCA Driftwood Lye Grey should be applied to freshly sanded, untreated wood only and forms part of a complete WOCA finishing system. Intended for interior use only. Not suitable for pre-finished, lacquered, or oiled surfaces.
