Unfinished Herringbone Flooring
Unfinished herringbone flooring supplied ready for on-site finishing, allowing full control over colour, finish and final appearance.
What Is Unfinished Herringbone Flooring?
Unfinished herringbone flooring is supplied without any factory-applied oils or lacquers, allowing the blocks to be installed, sanded and finished on site. This provides full flexibility over colour tone, sheen level and protective finish once the pattern is laid.
This option is often chosen for bespoke projects, renovations and situations where precise colour matching or a seamless finish across rooms is required.
Unfinished Herringbone Options
Unfinished herringbone flooring is available in a range of formats depending on project requirements, including:
Various block sizes and proportions
Solid or engineered construction
Clean, rustic and character grades
Suitable for domestic and selected commercial environments
Exact specifications vary depending on construction type and finishing approach.
Finishing Unfinished Herringbone Flooring on Site
Once installed, unfinished herringbone flooring can be finished using compatible products such as natural oils, colour oils, hardwax oils, or lacquers. On-site finishing allows the colour, sheen and overall appearance to be adjusted once the full pattern is in place.
This approach is particularly useful where floors need to match existing joinery, adjacent rooms or architectural features.

Solid Oak Woodblock – Tumbled Rustic (21mm)
Description
Solid Oak Woodblock Tumbled Rustic is a traditional 21mm solid oak parquet block with a gently distressed, aged appearance.
Each block is mechanically tumbled to soften the edges and subtly texture the surface, creating a worn, time-honoured look. Supplied in Rustic grade, this option features natural knots, grain variation and character markings that enhance the authentic feel of real solid oak.
Manufactured from solid European oak at 21mm thickness, the floor offers long-term durability and can be sanded and refinished multiple times over its lifetime.
Supplied unfinished, it is designed to be sanded and finished on site to achieve the desired tone and protection system.
Ideal for classic herringbone, double herringbone and basket weave installations where a softer, heritage appearance is preferred.
Important: All solid wood blocks must be fully glued down to the subfloor. Not suitable for floating installation.
