What Is Solid Wood Herringbone Flooring?
Solid wood herringbone flooring is manufactured from a single piece of timber throughout the full thickness of each block. The format is laid in a traditional herringbone pattern, creating a structured, timeless appearance that suits both period and contemporary interiors.
Solid herringbone flooring is commonly chosen for its authenticity and character and is typically installed in environments where subfloor conditions and room stability are suitable.
Solid Wood Herringbone Options

Solid Oak Woodblock – Tumbled Rustic (21mm)
Description
Solid Oak Woodblock Tumbled Rustic is a traditional 21mm solid oak parquet block with a gently distressed, aged appearance.
Each block is mechanically tumbled to soften the edges and subtly texture the surface, creating a worn, time-honoured look. Supplied in Rustic grade, this option features natural knots, grain variation and character markings that enhance the authentic feel of real solid oak.
Manufactured from solid European oak at 21mm thickness, the floor offers long-term durability and can be sanded and refinished multiple times over its lifetime.
Supplied unfinished, it is designed to be sanded and finished on site to achieve the desired tone and protection system.
Ideal for classic herringbone, double herringbone and basket weave installations where a softer, heritage appearance is preferred.
Important: All solid wood blocks must be fully glued down to the subfloor. Not suitable for floating installation.
