WOCA Softwood Lye is a specialist treatment developed for untreated softwood floors and interior wood surfaces, such as pine, spruce, and fir. It is used to prevent the natural yellowing process of softwood, helping the timber retain a lighter, more uniform appearance over time.
The lye reacts with the wood surface to stabilise the colour before finishing. It is typically used as a pre-treatment prior to applying WOCA soaps or oils, forming part of a complete finishing system. After application, the surface must be neutralised and finished with an appropriate product.
WOCA Softwood Lye is intended for interior use only and should be applied to freshly sanded, untreated wood. Not suitable for hardwoods or pre-finished surfaces.
