WOCA Antique Oak Lye is a specialist pre-treatment developed specifically for untreated oak wood floors and interior oak surfaces. It is designed to create a deeper, warmer antique oak appearance by reacting with the natural tannins in the wood.
The lye darkens and softens the overall tone of the oak, producing a traditional, aged look while helping to stabilise the colour and reduce future yellowing. It is used as a colouring and stabilising pre-treatment and must always be followed by a suitable finishing product such as WOCA oil or soap to protect the surface.
WOCA Antique Oak Lye should only be applied to freshly sanded, untreated oak. It forms part of a complete WOCA finishing system and is intended for interior use only. Not suitable for pre-finished, lacquered, or oiled surfaces.
